Euro 2004!
I know I haven´t posted for a while now,but it´s just that I´ve barely had time to even check my e-mails these days. But here I am again, with a little update of my life these days. my friends from England came, and although it was a very short visit, I have to say I had a blast with them. Catching up on news and going back to the past was the est part, because I hadn´t seen nor talked to them since I was in London a few months ago. And even though they´re well-travelled,intelectual people who have seen most of the world, they really liked Mexico. It feels great whenever I saw their amazed faces; apparently Mexico City is a very complete city with anything you would expect to see in a big city anywhere, but with a little extra touch: the awkward blend of a rich, cosmopolitan society and an extremely poor segment of the population with indigenous beliefs and lifestyles. For example, during a visit to dowtown Mexico City, we entered the Metropolitan Cathedral to take a look at the splendour and beauty of such an ancient building, complete with the pretentious art and deco of colonial times. But then suddenly, while looking at 16th century paintings of saints, a group of more than 100 natives wearing war outfits came in, blowing conches and playing pre-hispanic flutes and singing Catholic songs in their dialects. That´s when you just want to take a step back and decide where is it that you live: in Mexico or somewhere else.
Apart from that, everything´s being simply hanging out with friends and makiing the best out of the involuntary free time that I have right now. I´ve had a lot of time to think about lots of things that I just avoided before, and it has proven to be fruitful. Thank God I´ve been able to get over a few issues that really had me worrying for no good reason, and I´ve realized that certain people change dramatically when you least expect it. A big letdown for those who care for a certain person, but that´s ok, everyone has priorities and maybe some day they´ll see who´s who and who really cares. Oh well, enough of that!
One of the most exciting things for me these days is Euro 2004 in Portugal. I just can´t get enough soccer action! It´s gonna get really good soon. I´m pretty sure that France will win once again, but who knows? who do you guys think is gonna win this time?
Anyway, enough of me just blabbering. Post something please!!! I really want to know if there´s someone reading my posts, or if I´m just wasting my time! haha

Hey man, I read your page religiously! You'd make a great travel agent because everytime I talk to you, I want to visit your country a bit more. I think you should put up some pictures of Mexico!
