Weekend
Not so long ago,I was complaining about how boring weekends can be sometimes, especially when it comes to doing nothing on Friday nights. For me,weekends where boredom prevails have apparently being one of those trends we have in life, but I do have to say that this weekend was an exception to the rule. It was one of those weekends when you just don´t stop, going from place to place, hanging out with lots of people and just having a great time with the boys.
Although I´m not a big fan of nightclubs, I ended up going to one on Friday night, and I had a really good time after all. The first hour of being there was somehow dull because you can´t really predict how things will turn out as the night goes on,but it was good nonetheless. I guess the whole club scene, with a bunch of pretentious people wearing their best outfits and desperately trying to show they can be the most powerful ones on the food chain is just pathetic, but if all you´re looking for is to have a good time with your buds and dance and drink a little bit, who cares about the the others.
Then Saturday night came, when I just wanted to take it easy and get rid of the hangover caused by the bottles of crappy rum we had the night before, but since I hadn´t been able to see my friends that much, I decided to go with them to a party. The party itself wasn´t that great, but it was hosted by a radio station for their employees, and it included unlimited drinks, a nice live band and a somehow relaxed atmosphere, since this party wasn´t open to the the general public. It was good. But on the way home I saw something rather disturbing: I saw a brand new car in fire going quite fast, and with people still sitting inside and driving. And as it is expected in Mexico, the cops did nothing about it, they just followed the car and did nothing. It was one of those times when you want to get off the car and try to help out those poor guys, but I guess it would´ve been worse. I just hope those two didn´t die, or get seriolsly burnt, which arguably can be worse than death.
Then Sunday came, with no apparent sign of taking it easy for a few hours. But at the end we ended up going to a friend´s house to watch movies, have a beer or two and relax. I know I´m not fully describing how the whole weekend went, but trust me,it was really good.
And now that I´m posting something, I want to say hi To Karen Cho! I´m pretty sure it was you who posted a comment on my last post,am I right? Hope you´re doing well! remember to e-mail me sometime!

Oh man, Mexico sounds like a crazy place with cars on fire and unlimited drinks... gotta visit you one of these days.
PS. Kyle will be in town for a few days. We'll hopefully meet up and make fun of all the crazy things you did.
